Wombourne’s Annual Christmas Light Switch On

Don’t miss this year’s Christmas light switch on taking place on Friday 30th November at 6pm.

Activities will start at 5.40pm with Westfield Primary School Choir singing Christmas songs, a countdown to the light switch on, and a firework display by 

Father Christmas will also be making an appearance in his sleigh.

Home alone at Christmas… join South Staffordshire Council for a free Christmas lunch!

Celebrate Christmas at our tenth annual Christmas lunch for retired residents of the district who are over the age of 60 and don’t have any family or friends visiting them on Christmas Day.

Join us for a festive celebration on Friday 21 December, 12 midday (for 12.30pm) Christmas lunch at the Catering Academy.

Transport is provided along with an appearance by Santa and a present for everyone and entertainment including carolsplayed by the Salvation Army band

Free exhibition to mark the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day

Come along to Wombourne Parish Council’s Council Chamber on Saturday 10^th November 2018 from 10am until 4pm for a free exhibition to mark 100 years since the end of The Great War.

Wombourne Parish Council in collaboration with Wombourne History Group will be showcasing local memorabilia and members of the History Group will be on hand to answer questions. The exhibition will feature fashion and the role of women at the time.  There will be an interactive talk from David Taylor from the Group at 11am, 1pm and 3pm for approximately 15 minutes, which you don’t want to miss.

This event is proudly sponsored by the Armed Forces Covenant.
