Last week’s news from South Staffordshire Council.
- Clean-up of fly-tipped raw meat
Click here to see the huge pile of raw meat that was fly-tipped in Wombourne during the Bank Holiday weekend. Removal of the fly-tipped waste was a priority for the Council and members of the Street Scene team were on hand first thing on Tuesday morning to remove the waste.
The news story was covered by BBC Midlands Today, BBC Online and the Express & Star and there were lots of discussions and comments on social media with many residents expressing their thanks to the Street Scene team for cleaning up the waste so promptly. If you have any information about the incident, or if you see anyone fly-tipping in the district, please report it using the Council’s website at www.sstaffs.gov.uk.

- Annual Canvass 2019
Thank you to residents who have responded to the Household Enquiry Form. Every year, we are required to write to every household in the district to confirm that the details we have on the electoral register are correct. It is a legal requirement to respond to this letter and it’s quick and easy to reply – you can do this online or by telephoning, texting or signing the form and sending it back. Click here for more information.
First reminders will start to be despatched shortly for those residents who have not responded yet. We have to follow up any non-responding households so please help us save money by responding quickly.
