Last week’s news from South Staffordshire Council.
- Proposed SRFI – A decision from the Secretary of State on the proposed SRFI is due on or about 27 February 2020, a letter was received from the Secretary of State last week asking for additional comments in response to a letter from the Applicant, which can be seen here – the Council has sent a reply which makes it clear that if the SRFI is permitted, which the Council does not agree to, the rail infrastructure should go in first before any sheds are constructed. The letter will be published on the SRFI website shortly.
- South Staffordshire Connect service now available
The South Staffordshire Connect dial-a-ride bus service is now available.
This local, bookable bus service is once again helping many people
who struggle to get out and about and it is aimed at residents who live
away from regular bus routes or who find it difficult to use a standard
bus. The new Connect service operates between 10am and 3pm to
